ABOUT TEDDY BLAZE

ABOUT TEDDY BLAZE

Teddy Blaze is a premium Afrocentric lifestyle brand founded by Sir Jones and Artez Bailey. Conceived in Harlem in 2018 and formally established in Las Vegas, the house brings African and Afro-diasporic culture into a distinctive world of Ivy, collegiate and preppy style, Sapeur elegance, expressive pattern and modern lifestyle design.

From apparel and intimates to accessories, collectibles, everyday objects and home goods, Teddy Blaze uses each product as a canvas for culture, memory, joy and individuality. The house is polished without becoming quiet, expressive without losing intention and refined without surrendering personality. It is a complete visual world shaped by New York confidence, Las Vegas hospitality and an unapologetically Afrocentric point of view.

THE HOUSE LANGUAGE

Central to the Teddy Blaze universe is BlazeChek™, affectionately known as DaChek™—the brand’s signature house pattern. Its broader visual vocabulary includes Sankofa and Gye Nyame symbolism, mudcloth, Adire, Ndop, Ukara, tartan, lace, collegiate references, trompe l’œil and ornate Afro-Rococo treatments. These elements function as recurring house codes, reinterpreted across materials, categories and seasons rather than placed on every product at once.

The result is a design language where Ivy structure meets African visual tradition, preppy familiarity is transformed through cultural identity and heritage becomes a foundation for experimentation. Teddy Blaze demonstrates that Afrocentric design can be elegant, playful, sensual, maximalist, contemporary and suitable for every part of life.

SIR JONES — CO-FOUNDER, CEO & BRAND ARCHITECT

Sir Jones is the co-founder, CEO and Brand Architect of Teddy Blaze. After spending more than four decades in New York—including formative years in Brooklyn and Harlem—he developed an eye shaped by the city’s fearless approach to identity, presentation and personal style. His creative perspective combines that New York confidence with Sapeur ceremony, Black Dandy refinement, Ivy and collegiate influences, African textile traditions and the warmth of Las Vegas.

Under his creative direction, Teddy Blaze has evolved into a premium lifestyle house with its own symbols, patterns, characters, traditions and point of view. Sir Jones approaches brand building as world building: every garment, object, image and story contributes to a recognizable cultural universe. His purpose is not simply to create products, but to build the kind of enduring Afrocentric house he once wanted to see—one in which Black and Afro-Latino culture is not treated as a passing influence, but as the foundation of timeless style.

Teddy Blaze is premium Afrocentric living—refined, expressive, culturally grounded and always VERY TEDDY.
